John Lee Worden

Born February 18, 1938

Entered the Gates of Heaven June 28, 2016

John was a man of many talents from making beautiful works of art in glass and stone to capturing life’s beautiful moments on camera. In all the pictures where he was missing, he would say “I’m right there in that picture with you, you may not see me but, I am there.”

From his many years at NCR he gained a fondness for everything computer related, from early when he made a program called Menga’s House and then later in life sharing his talents to teach computer skills to seniors.

He was known for his great big compassionate and loving heart. He touched the hearts of so many throughout his life. One of the things he had said was “if he could touch another’s life in any way and make it better that is what I’ll do.” He did this every day! He loved deeply and completely.

His family was one of his greatest joys. He enjoyed seeing his children happy in whatever they did and would love you just because you loved them.

John lived a full life. He so enjoyed his years with Judy his life partner and soul mate of 24 years. He shared so much joy with her from traveling to becoming family and sharing in all their lives.

John had four children from two marriages but, was a father to so many along life’s way. To his many grandchildren and great grandchildren he was known as Grampy or JohnJohn. He taught us what unconditional love really was. He will be forever and always missed, until we meet again.

He leaves behind:

His love, Judy Thompson, his son John & wife Gena Worden, daughter Dawn & husband Mark Young, son James Worden, son Nick Worden, daughter Cheri Thompson, son Jim Thompson and daughter Jennifer & husband Steve Ellis, countless grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by:

His loving father John Russell Worden and loving mother Iva Mae Hazzard Worden.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on July 23rd 2016 at:
