John Walthemar Titus

John W. Titus age 94 of Port Charlotte, Florida under the care of Tidewell Hospice and with his children present, went home to Jesus on February 23, 2017. He was born December 5, 1922 in Nevada, Missouri to John Bryon and Hulda Titus, who preceded him in death. John was married 72 years to Ruby Jean Titus who also preceded him in death. John is survived by son Jerry Titus (Karen) of Mechanicsville, Virginia, daughter Karen Moore (Jim) of Port Charlotte, Florida, grandchildren Gregg Titus (Gloria), Nathan Titus (Stephanie) , Angela Titus (Pete Massey), Lori Tucker (Todd) and Lisa Edzards (Jon); 13 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, 2 nephews and a sister in law. He is preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Prewitt. John was a civil engineer with HNTB for 40 years and a Navy Seabees veteran of WWII. John served The Lord since a young child. He and Jean fostered children through the Assemblies of God, volunteered for hospice and enjoyed traveling in their RV after retirement. A memorial service will be held July 8, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Pebble Creek Assembly of God. Burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
