John Stephen Lowe

John Stephen Lowe, 68, of Kansas City, KS passed away April 22, 2020 under care at a Kansas City, MO nursing facility. Private family services were held due to current stay at home orders. Entombment will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Online condolences can be left on this website.

John was born in Kansas City, MO and had lived in this area most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1972 to 1975 where he was a Certified Aviation Communications Technician and Electrician. After his service, John worked as an electrician for many years. He was well known around K.C., KS and K.C., MO as “John Boy”. John loved antique cars, for which he also worked as a mechanic. He was a phenomenal pool player and could run the table over and over. He is survived by his partner of 42 years, Nora Harris; two children, John Stephen and his wife, Michelle; Andrew Louis and his partner, Ashlynn; two grandchildren, Alexandra and John, Jr.; three siblings, Robert Lowe and his wife, Rosemary, Roberta Goldfine, and Richard Lowe and his wife, Barbie.
