Bob was the ultimate story teller and loved to share his adventures with his family and friends. Bob was born to Clara and Joseph in Boston, where he spent his childhood and later attended college. During college he was drafted and sent to Texas to complete basic training for the US Army. Upon his return to Boston one fateful night he met the love of his life Ann. They were married shortly after and began their life together.
Bob worked for Raytheon while also completing his degree in Electrical Engineering. While in Boston the couple welcomed their 3 daughters. Bob and Ann then moved to Long Island, New York for his new career with DIT-MCO. While in New York Bob made his mark in his community becoming the President of the civic association, and being active in the fishing and boating community. He spent many happy days on boats with his close friends and taught all of his daughters how to fish and appreciate the beauty of the ocean. One of Bob’s greatest accomplishments was building an ice skating rink in the backyard of their home. Bob maintained the rink and provided entertainment for the neighborhood kids. Bob and Ann enjoyed hosting friends at their home and made lifelong friends in New York.
Bobs career took him across the country to Kansas City where he continued his work with DIT-MCO. While in Kansas City Bob had a new audience for all his tales. Golf, bowling and traveling became his new hobbies. Bob also loved a good game of Texas Hold ‘Em and blackjack. Bob and Ann were able to travel with Bob’s new job and Japan became one of his favorite destinations. Bob learned to speak Japanese and in true Bob form made close friends with his customers and visited them as well as had them visit him in the states. Bob’s next career move brought him to Florida, where they eventually retired. Bob and Ann had a wonderful time in Florida making friends, playing golf, poker and enjoying the beautiful weather. Bob continued his job of taking care of his neighbors, friends and anyone that could use the helpful hands Bob always had available.
Bobs greatest accomplishment was his marriage to Ann. To the end he loved to take care of her and enjoyed anything that would mean she was by his side.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Clara, his brother Ray (Judy) and his sister Mary (Richard).
Bob is survived by his wife Ann, his daughters Christine (Robert), Jean (Matthew) and Ellen (Rick) his pride and joy his grandchildren Christopher (Tiffany), Bryan (Angela), Andrew (Amanda), Timothy (Blake), Kevin (Catalina), Kelsey (Sam), Jessie, Maggie (Michael) and Abby. Also his great grandchildren that brought him so much joy, Gabriel, Hadley, Lucy, Emmy, Matthew, Elizabeth and Charlotte.
