John grew up in Mission, KS. He Graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1961 and joined the United States Marines Corp in 1963. John was very proud to serve his country for 6 years.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Evans in 1945 and Frances Evans in 2015; his grandson, Tevin Gorth in 2016; and his sister, Judy Evans in 2019.
He is survived by the one lady who stood beside him through the good and the bad, the mother of his children, his former wife Linda Evans; his children, Desiree Eggenberger (Alan), Sean Evans (Erin), and Heather Williams; his grandchildren; Rebecca Martin (TJ), Ashley Evans, Cole Evans, and John P. Evans; and his great granddaughter, Chloe Martin; as well as his fraternal twin James Evans; his half-brothers Steve, Teviot, and Robert Ruttinger. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews to honor his memory.
