Mike was the beloved husband and friend of Bonnie, they were married for 47 happy years. They met at Hallmark Cards, where Mike’s mom worked as an artist, designing greeting cards.
Mike was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. He graduated from Southwest High School. Mike was highly skilled at wood refinishing, and had his own business restoring furniture. He had purchased an old postal service van for this job. Ask Bonnie about this, because there is a funny story to be told.
Mike worked for K.C. Southern Railroad, and was a Postman, he also worked for Cosentino’s Price Chopper on 103rd. He loved to mow and tend to his yard. He and Bonnie drove the van for the Caren Club at Colonial Presbyterian Church. Which is a bible study group ministry for people with mental illness. Mike loved his collie Sadie, he loved going to “Good Guys Car Show”, and he loved science and mathematics, especially researching perpetual motion.
Mike overcame many difficulties and challenges with grace and his faith in the Lord. He was full of quips and wit. He was a most wonderful husband and friend and will be missed by many.
