JoAnne Foster

JoAnne Foster age 90 of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on December 27, 2021 at Foxwood Springs Assisted Living in Raymore, MO. JoAnne was born on September 20, 1931 in Versailles, Missouri the daughter of Elmer and Dora (Weaver) Archer.

She married Thomas Foster on November 25, 1950, in Versailles, Missouri. Of this union, Five children were born and JoAnne was a loving Wife, Homemaker and Mother. JoAnne earliest ambition was to read every book in the Library. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, scrabble and Farkle with the “Farkle-Gal’s”. She was a great cook and was famous in her family for her Thanksgiving Giblet Gravy.

She is survived by: Four children: Charles Foster of Athens, Greece, Leesa (Husband: Michael) McBride of Belton, MO., Joseph (Wife: Judy) Foster of Kansas City, MO., and Jeffrey (Wife: Heidi) Foster of San Luis Obispo, CA. Eight Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren, One Brother: David (Wife: Ruth) Archer of Oklahoma, Many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: Her Parents, Husband, One Son: Thomas Foster Jr., One Sister: Virginia Guenther, One Brother: Robert Archer, Three grandchildren: Thomas Foster III, Michael Foster, and Christopher McBride.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to American Cancer Society.

A memorial service for JoAnne will be held Monday, January 10, 2022,10:00 AM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. Following the memorial service will be a committal service and interment 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
