After a brave battle with multiple health issues, Jill Harris Smith, aged 50, went home to God in the early hours of Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Through it all, Jill maintained a steadfast faith in her Savior and the Communion of Saints.
A devoted wife and mother, Jill is survived by David, her husband of nineteen years and her beautiful and courageous daughters, Audrey (15) and Anna (14). She is also survived by her father Michael Harris, sister Joy Hennessy (Edmund), brother Stephen Harris (Leanne) and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jill was preceded in death by her mother Georgian Harris (née Taucher).
A native of St. Joseph, Missouri, Jill graduated from Central High School. Upon graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Jill set off for Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actor and secured recurring roles in daytime dramas and a speaking role in the motion picture Apt Pupil. She was a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
Jill's love of motherhood, travel, and acting, together with her active faith, filled her life with celebration and forged a multitude of life-long friendships. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Mass on Monday, November 6, at 10 am at Ascension Catholic Church, 9510 W. 127th Street, Overland Park, KS 66213, followed by Christian Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, 8300 Quivira Road,
Lenexa, KS 66215.
