Jerry Lee Modlin

Jerry Modlin, 70, of Gladstone, MO passed away at his home on July 25, 2011. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Thursday, July 28th at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rosary will be prayed a 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 AM Friday, July 29th at the church. Burial will follow at Resurrection North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Endowment Fund or the American Cancer Society.

Jerry was born December 5, 1940 in Shelby, NE. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1964. Jerry worked for RPM Solutions for 24 years as a sales representative. He was an avid story teller and golfer, a loving husband, father and a wonderful “Papa”. Jerry was an energetic square dancer belonging to Harold Squares and Wheel ‘N Dealers. Jerry was a member of the Rotary Club, American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He was also a devoted fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pat Modlin; children, Julie and F.C White; James and Sandra Modlin; Jay and Shawna Modlin; grandchildren, Victoria, Olivia, Ciara and Turner White; Hannah and Jackson Modlin; Katelyn and Holly Modlin and his sister, Vera Davenport of Duncan, NE, and by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
