Janet M. (Jan) Potter of Raytown, Mo, passed away on April 28th, 2014 at home from complications from Lung Cancer. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 2nd, at 10:30a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 W. 62nd St., Mission, KS 66202. Burial will be at 5:00p.m., in Carlisle, Iowa. Visitation will be at 9:30a.m. before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Jan was born May 22, 1945 in Des Moines, IA. She married her soul mate Mike. She was a registered nurse for 35 years. Jan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, as well as a member of the HeartLight portion of the Heartland Men’s Chorus.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Mike, her parents, and a nephew. She is survived by her sister, Linda Kielmann of the home; her brother, Lee; sister-in-law, Jo, of Florida; stepdaughters: Lori (Jim) and Debbie; 6 grandchildren; 3 nieces; 3 nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
