Jane Ellen (Webb) Robertson, 88 of Independence, Mo entered heaven on Friday, November 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She lived her life in anticipation of meeting Jesus and went peacefully into His arms after suffering a stroke on November 1, 2021.
Jane was born on July 31, 1933 in Wellington, Mo to Thelma Faye (Chance) Webb and Lloyd Moulder Webb. She graduated from Elwood High School in Elwood, Ks in 1951. After high school, she attended Platt Business College in St. Joseph, Mo. She married the love of her life, John R. Robertson on June 22, 1955 at First Assembly of God of Independence. They spent the next 66 ½ years devoted to each other and God while raising their four children; John, Jr (Johnny Bob), Clifford, Kristy, and Brian (Bingo). Jane wore many “hats” at First Assembly over the years; Sunday school teacher, choir member, Children’s Church director, nursery worker, or wherever she was needed. She hosted many a holiday or family celebration dinner…her door was always open! She was an Electronic Assembler at Allied Signal (Honeywell) retiring in July 1993 to spend time with cherished family and her many friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Lloyd Webb; sister, Darlene (Webb) McNeil; sister and brother-in-law, Marion (Webb) and Charles Sherrer; Son, John Jr; as well as many other cherished family members and close friends. She is survived by her husband, John; son, Clifford (Pam); daughter, Kristy; Son, Brian; and brother, Lloyd Webb, Jr. Two grandchildren; Todd (Tammy) Robertson , and Carrie (Chad) Mitchell; and six great grandchildren; Taylor Hubbs, Chayse Robertson, Jori Lewitzke, Nolan Lewitzke, Audrey Mitchell, and Ryan Mitchell; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at EPIC Church (formerly First Assembly of God of Independence) 3711 Whitney Dr, Independence, Mo 64055 on December 18, 2021 at 3:00 PM. Friends and family will be received from 2:00 PM prior to the service. Private graveside services at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO will be scheduled later. In lieu of flowers; the family requests donations be made in Jane’s memory to one of her favorite charitable organizations; City Union Mission, Special Olympics, or St. Jude’s Hospital.
