Jamie was born on December 28, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter and Fern Howell. She grew up in Raytown and graduated from Raytown South High School. She was an active member of Connection Point Church in Raytown and volunteered for several of their programs, including Joy Ministries and performing as a clown in church shows.
Jamie was married to Curtis Cox for 39 years and was a loving mother to three daughters: Jennifer, Sondra, and Ann. She loved butterflies, angels, movie nights, and spending the holidays with her family. In 2009, Jamie survived brain surgery. She was a very strong woman who was full of faith and love for God.
Jamie was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Fern Howell, and her brother Keith Howell.
Survivors include Jamie’s husband Curtis, children Jennifer Larned, Sondra Larned, and Ann Andrews, and two sisters. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, including Gina Singleton, Jacob Singleton, Christian Singleton, Aaron Hinz, Renee Hinz, Logan Hinz, Xiomara Bush, and Legend Singleton.
A visitation and service for Jamie will be held on Tuesday, March 26 at Connection Point Church in Raytown (ROC Entrance). The visitation will take place from 10-11 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
