James Wayne McFarland, October 30, 1968 - November 11, 2023. James Wayne McFarland, 55, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on November 11, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. with Memorial Services to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133).

James was born October 30, 1968, in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Don McFarland and Judy Blacksher Anderson. He was a warrior in Tribe Mic-O-Say. He graduated from Center Senior High School in 1987. He worked for American Quality Tire for the last 26 years as a mechanic and auto technician. Jim was a kind, sincere, and hardworking man who would do anything for his family. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He loved hunting and fishing, game nights with his family, and watching movies. He enjoyed bowling, darts, and playing with his dogs. Jim also had a passion for classic cars.

He is survived by his wife Michelle McFarland; children Kathryn and Kaitlin McFarland; mother Judy Anderson; brother Jack Anderson Jr.; sisters Nancy Clover and husband Mark, Lynnessa Wall and husband Patrick; his nieces Christina Melzer and husband Adam, Nicole Latimer and husband Mike, Terra McGuire and husband Chris, and Rebecca Latimer; nephews Mitchell Latimer, Chris Doyle, Bryce McFarland, Joshua Albert, Brandon Bauer, Aaron and Daniel Clover; his many great nieces and nephews; his aunt Susan Hedrick; his cousin Susan Scheurer and husband Rob. Jim was preceded in death by his brother Ken McFarland, fathers Don McFarland and Jack Anderson, and his grandparents Jerry and Art Blacksher, and Rose McFarland.
