James "Jim" Richard Allee was born in the home of Walter and Dixie Allee on November 13, 1936. Jim was the second oldest of 10 children. He was always taking care of those around him; from carrying some across the creek on the way home from school to hiding some in the corn patch. He could also be a bit ornery.
He married mary Ellen Blankenship on October 15, 1957. They were married for 66 years. They set an incredible example of a steadfast and caring relationship, giving their 2 children, Renee and Kevin, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren a firm foundation of love.
Jim cherished spending time with his family. He enjoyed reading books to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fishing in the creek and pretending to go bear hunting. He helped homeschool grandchildren and loved going to the family farm with Mary. He always enjoyed riding the tractor around, plowing the garden and mowing fields.
At the age of 62, Jim retired from Kansas City Life Insurance Company after spending more than 3 decades with the company.
He took seriously his responsibility to provide for his family both physically and spiritually. His greatest desire was for them to have a strong and abiding faith in our Savior.
Jim died in the family home on December 14, 2023. He was surrounded by family, wife, Mary; children Renee and Kevin; and sitting around him on his bed when he passed were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all letting him know how much he was loved.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dixie Allee; sister Carolyn Mc Killip; and two grandsons James Robert Jones and Aaron Tyler Jones. He is survived by his wife, Mary Allee; daughter, Renee Jones; son, Kevin Allee; sisters, Delores (Dean) Clifford, Dona Kramer, Mary Sue Hill, Janice (Tony) Cerra, Anita (John) Baker, Kathy (Dave) Bixler, Debbie (Mike) Less; brother David Allee; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
