Jacqueline Eloise Bradley, 83, of Kansas City, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Gregory Ridge Health Care Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born August 10, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to Elmer and Helen (Wellington) Bowman.
Jacqueline attended Lincoln High School. She was an excellent student and enjoyed marching in the band as a majorette. Jacqueline left school her senior year and married Richard W. Bradley in June 1954. She became a full-time homemaker.
This union was blessed with four children. The marriage ended in divorce in 1969. Jacqueline was blessed with another son later.
She was an exceptional typist with amazing speed and accuracy. Her skills allowed her to secure employment with the Social Security Administration in 1973 as a Key Punch Operator where she remained until early retirement.
Jacqueline loved being around her family, cooking, reading, needlework (knitting/crocheting) and listening to music; especially Barry White. As a member of St. Stephens Baptist Church, she served on the Usher Board.
Jacqueline is survived by her brother, Theodore Bowman (Wanda), three sons: Richard W. Bradley, Jr. (Rosalyn), Lance E. Bradley (Tina) and Aaron L. Bradley; two daughters: Donna R. YaDullah-Chase (John) and Valerie L. Salaam (Dwight), 31 grandchildren and 50 great-grand children. She is preceded in death by her parents, the following siblings, and son-in-law: Kenneth Bowman (Annette), Elmer Bowman, Jr., Aliya Hazim (Omar), and Jimmie S. YaDullah.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at McGilley Memorial Chapel-Midtown, 20 W. Linwood, immediately followed by Funeral Services at the same location officiated by Rev. Eric Belt of St. Stephens Baptist Church. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
