Jack was born in Wheeling, West Virginia where he attended The Linsly School. He initially attended Iowa State University and then transferred to Kansas State University earning his Bachelor of Science Degree. At Kansas State, he met Linda Grimshaw marrying her August 10, 1963. Jack attended University of Missouri earning his PhD and MD. His academics were followed by his surgical internship at Parkland Memorial in Dallas and then moving back to Kansas City to complete his residency in Urology at University of Kansas Medical Center. Jack loved practicing Urology at St. Luke's Hospital for many years. He was preceded in death by his dear wife Linda. After retirement, Jack found his way to Tucson, Arizona enjoying an active and social life full of friends and his travel adventures.
Jack is survived by his sister Mary Margaret (Moore) McCamic, his sisters-in-law, Julie (Grimshaw) Neustadt, Laurie White, and Madelyn (White) Dalgleish, and brother in-law William (Bill) Grimshaw. He leaves his legacy with his sons, Dr. Charles Moore (Margot), G. Scott Moore (Jana), and David Moore. Along with his beloved grandchildren Grace, Maylee, Jack, and Owen.
The memorial services will be held Monday, June 6, 2022, visitation from 10:00am to 11:00 am, funeral services at 11:00 am at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
His family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Luke's Foundation.
