Jack was born September 28th,1938 in Kansas City, MO to John and Lillian Anderson. He graduated from Paseo high school in 1956. Jack worked at the Kansas City Southern Railway as a Yard Clerk/Roundhouse Clerk until he joined the Marine Corps in September of 1958. In the Marine Corps Jack worked as a radio/telegraph operator in California where he was stationed for 3 years. Jack left the Marine Corps in 1961 and went on to hold various jobs before accepting a career appointment with the United States Postal Services in 1974. Jack worked at the United States Postal Service as a Maintenance Engineering Specialist until he retired on January 3, 2006. He enjoyed playing the piano, woodworking, and traveling. Jack vacationed in every state in the United States as well as the Caribbean Islands, Australia, and New Zealand.

MO; Terra (Christopher) McGuire, Harrisonville, MO; Brandon Bauer, Lee’s Summit, MO; Bryce McFarland, Harrisonville, MO; Daniel Clover, Kansas City, MO ; Kaitlin McFarland, Lenexa, KS; Kathryn McFarland, Lee’s Summit, MO; his great grandchildren; Lucas Mayorga; Camilo Mayorga; Avah McGuire; Fraya Clover; Jericho Albert; Aric McGuire; his niece, Karen (Bob) Brown; nephew David (Cindy) Hinkle; great niece Jennifer (Pat) Clifton; great nephews Robert Brown; Nick (Blaire) Hinkle; Parker Hinkle; great great niece Vera Brown Rembold; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Jack was preceded in death by Lillian Crow (Mother); John Anderson, (Father), Donald Anderson, (Brother), Kenneith McFarland (Son) and Judith Anderson (first wife).
The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133. Followed by the Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. with graveside burial immediately after.
