Irene Chrystal Williams

It is with great sadness that the family of Irene Chrystal Williams announce her passing on Sunday, December 30th, 2018 at the age of 94. She was born Irene Chrystal Willard on April 10, 1924 in Detroit Michigan. She attended high school in Detroit and helped her father run a furniture store. She moved to Independence in 1944 and worked at Sears. She met her husband Albert on a blind date and they got married on July 23, 1946. They later moved to Belton Missouri in 1988. She had four children; three daughters and one son.

She is preceded in death by her son, David Williams in 1992, as well as her granddaughter Patricia Miller.

She is survived by her husband, of 72 years, Albert, her sister Erma Wise of Oklahoma City and her three daughters; Karen Sellars of Belton Missouri, Lorene Williams of Independence Missouri and Janice Edmonds of Blue Springs as well three grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Irene enjoyed playing piano, her trip to Alaska as well as baking cookies for the holidays and spending time in her swimming pool.
