Helen M. Wilson

Helen Marie Wilson, 85, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away February 12, 2018.

A Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Thursday, February 15th at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00pm. Interment will follow the service at Mount Moriah Cemetery South.

Helen was proud of her achievements as PTA President, St. Peter’s UCC lifetime member, church council, Stephen Ministry, Mary Martha & Swiss Ladies Society, the Red Hatters and KC Turners member. She enjoyed Tai Chi, traveling, Starlight Theatre, dancing, partying and her Swiss-German heritage. She did some modeling and held jobs with TWA, CB Livestock and bookkeeping for Monsees Lock and Key. She loved and cherished her family & friends. Her nickname was “Wild Thing”.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Doris Wagner, her husband Norman H. Brown. She was also preceded in death by her second husband Dean K. Wilson.

She is survived by her son Jeff Brown, daughter Karen Brown (Jamie Reese) & Leslie (Gary) Monsees, step-daughter Paula Martin, grandchildren Katie (John) Lopez, Lauren Brown (Trevor Bloom), Kyle Brown, Danielle (Jeff) Waldron, Morgan & Taylor Monsees and Troy & Dustin Martin, great-grandchildren Ethan, Makayla, Jaxsen, Aisley, Alexandra, Elizabeth & Liam.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions be made in Helen's name to the Kansas City Hospice Foundation, 1500 Meadow Lake Parkway, Suite 200, Kansas City, Missouri 64114.
