Helen Hickman, 85, Northmoor, passed away at home June 18, 2015 surrounded by her family. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 20 at 2:00 at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City. A visitation will precede the service beginning at 1:00.
Helen was born March 30, 1930 in Platte County, MO to Sterling and Clara Edwards. She was a proud life-long “North of the River” area resident. On Dec 3, 1946 she married Lowell Hickman. They enjoyed 37 years together, until his death on May 16, 1994.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Helen was preceded in death by her sisters Bea and Frances, and a brother, Sonny. She is survived by a son, Lowell, Jr.; daughters Helen Frances (Mike) Wolfe and Linda (Steven) Abbott; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
