Helen Etringer

Helen M. Etringer, 96, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 27th, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 West 103rd, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Helen was born February 28, 1914, in Kansas City, MO, to Frank and Theresa Rothberger. She attended West Junior High School and Graduated from Redemptorist High School, Kansas City, MO. She moved to Gladstone and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish for many years. She was a bartender and waitress working at The Phillips Hotel, Hotel President’s Drum Room, and the Aladdin Hotel’s Zebra Room.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband John; ten brothers and sisters; Frank, Leo, Laurence, John, Anna Mae, Margaret, Geraldine, Robert, Henry and William. She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Peg McElhinney, Terri Bowers, Bill Tolbert, Pam Rothberger, Larry Rothberger, Bill Rothberger, Lisa Weber, Lauren Rothberger, Lynn Rothberger, many great nieces and nephews and a number of friends and caregivers at The Court at Overland Park.
