Harry L. “Les” Klimt, 81, passed away June 4, 2014. Placement of ashes in Higginsville Veteran Cemetery held on Fri., June 20, 2014 at 1pm. A gathering of those who wish to attend will meet at McGilley & Sheil Chapel from 10-11am that day.
Harry was born January 17, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Harry F. & Cleta Klimt. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1949. In November of 1950 Harry joined the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a Staff Sgt. at the time of his separation. Harry was a Pilot for TWA for 32 years. After retiring he became an active volunteer with the “Save a Connie” Organization. Harry also was a member of the American Legion Post 21, a member of the TWA Heart of America Alumni Assoc. as well as a lifetime member of the A.L.P.A. and a Docent at the Truman Library. Harry was preceded in death by his parents & a sister, Duana Klimt.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia of the home; three sons, Robert Klimt (Michelle), Eric Klimt (Lauren) & Kurt Klimt (Rhonda); a brother, Gary Klint (Diana) and 6 grandchildren, Adam, Erica, Emily, Lydia, Colin & Natalie.
