

Gloria Jeanne Connealy was born on December 12, 1948 in Moundridge, Kansas and passed away on April 17, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Ella Schrag, father, Daniel Harold Schrag, and brother, Rex Allen Schrag. She is survived by a daughter, Molly Danielle James, a brother, Randall Eugene Schrag and two sisters, Betty Ann Enochs and Catherine Beth Johnson.
Gloria graduated from Kansas State University and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. In recent years, she was active in the Kansas City Symphony Designer’s Showhouse, New Friends of Kansas City, and many bridge groups. She enjoyed going to the symphony, the theater, movies, estate sales, and playing canasta, bunco, words with friends, and various card and board games with family. She gave of her time by volunteering at the New Hope food pantry for a number of years. She had a strong fashion sense, and was always one of the brightest spots in the room. She loved traveling, having lived in Wichita, St. Louis, Mercer Island, Washington as well as Kansas City. Gloria had a great appetite for life and loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed walking and other forms of exercise, and was quite active. She was a very strong, upbeat person who was fun to be around. She passed much too soon and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
