Glenn and Elinor will be laid to rest together on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Edinburg, MO.
Glenn Eldon Stevenson was born on December 22, 1931 on the Stevenson family farm to Cliffard and Clara (Ferguson) Stevenson. He graduated from Trenton High School in Trenton, MO. He graduated from William Jewel College and Southern Seminary. He worked for the US Government in the Disability Claims Department as a Claims Reviewer.
Glenn Eldon Stevenson is preceded in death by his beloved siblings, James Thomas Stevenson, Dale Stevenson, Zilpha Clarkson, Angelee Gibson and their spouses.
Together, Glenn and Elinor were joined in marriage in 1951.
Elinor Gene (Stanturf) Stevenson was born on November 15, 1931 in Trenton, MO to George Franklin and Cleo Bell (Harrelson) Stanturf. She graduated from Trenton High School in Trenton, MO. She graduated from MCCKC with an Associate’s Degree. She worked for the United States Social Security Administration as a File Clerk.
Elinor is preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn “Bobbie” Hessenflow.
Glenn and Elinor Stevenson are survived by their eldest son, Paul Stevenson and his wife Lisa (Barnes) Stevenson of Chantilly, VA, their children, Annie Stevenson-Hesson and her husband Alex Hesson of Baltimore, MD, Cooper Stevenson of Chantilly VA, middle son, David Stevenson, and youngest son, Mark Stevenson of Kansas City, MO.
