Mrs. Loschke had an active business career. She was past Executive Director of the Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) from 1946 to 1959. She served as Corporate Secretary and Administrative Vice President for the Barickman Advertising Company from 1959 to 1985 ... she retired from the business world in 1985.
Gladie, as she was known by her many friends, was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, a past president of the Lea Manor Homes Association, a member of Ladies of Charity and an active volunteer of St. Joseph Medical Center. Gladie was a very active and grateful member of Al-Anon.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband,.. L.B "Putt" Loschke, step-son James L. Loschke and siblings: Mary Louise, Newton and Jean.
She is survived by seven step-children; John Loschke (Sherry) of Parachute, Colorado, Mary Lou McClune (Steve) of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Judy Watson (Steve) of Overland Park, Kansas, Nan Gunn (Pat) of Leawood, Kansas, Mike Loschke (Jenell) of Kansas City, Missouri, Jean Wynn of Olathe, Kansas and Mark Loschke of Overland Park, Kansas; sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; a nephew, Don Elick (Janet) of Denton, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to First Call Alcohol/Drug Prevention & Recovery of Kansas City.
