Obituary
Geraldine “Jerry” Goodman Newport, 91, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Villa St. Joseph, Leawood, Kansas. Jerry was born in Fulton, MO on January 18, 1925, the second child of Charley & Hannah Goodman. She married Boyd Newport on April 18, 1946 and they enjoyed 62 wonderful years together. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of Raytown, MO, First Christian Church of Independence, MO and Raytown Silver Streaks. She is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd, and her granddaughter April Humbird. She is survived by her children Terry Hussey (Bob), Cheri Honeycutt (Elvin), Todd Newport (Laura), six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 9:00 AM on Saturday November 5, 2016, followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO (816)353-1218.
