Gerald D. Clevenger, 56, Kansas City North, lost his battle with cancer Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at his home. Memorial services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, May 5th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation will begin at 1:30 PM. Contributions are suggested to NorthCare Hospice.
Gerald was born August 12, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Gary and Iris (Riegel) Clevenger. He was a 1973 graduate of North Kansas City High School and shortly afterwards became a machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad where he worked until his retirement in 2010. Gerald married Teresa Reaka in 1977 and from that union was born 2 sons. In 1999 he married his high school sweet heart, Robyn Spaur. Robyn states that after 13 years of marriage, “Gerald was, and is, and always will be, the love of my life.”
Gerald is survived by his wife, parents, sons, Jason and Brett (Ashley Merritt); step-son, Cru Cavner; brothers, Danny and Brian; 2 grandsons, Kainan and Chance; 2 nieces and a nephew.
Gerald enjoyed life and spent his free time gun collecting, fishing, car restoration and sharing good times with family and friends. He will be truly missed by all.
