Geneva (Genny) Ann Bullard, 92, of Raymore, departed this life peacefully on January 9, 2024. She was born September 6, 1931, in Cave City, Arkansas on her mother’s birthday. She was the youngest of 7 children and the only daughter of Thomas P. and Nola (Brewer) Horton. Her mother died when Genny was only 2 years old.
Genny graduated from Southeast High School in 1948 and on June 13, 1949, she was united in marriage to Gerald D. Bullard. They were married 67 years, until Jerry’s death in 2016. They moved to Raytown in 1962 where they raised their 3 sons and where she lived for 60 years. She was a faithful member of Blenheim Assembly of God Church (later known as Turning Point Church). Genny was deeply spiritual, attended regular prayer meetings at JohnnieMae’s and was a prayer warrior for many. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, camping on the Spring River in Arkansas and spending time at the lake. She had a love of history, the Gaithers, and old classic movies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her six brothers, and grandson, Matthew C. Bullard.
She is survived by her three sons, John Bullard (Julie) of Raytown, Dennis Bullard (Vicki) of Lee’s Summit, and Larry Bullard (Kelly) of Raymore, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
Genny’s life will be celebrated on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, KCMO 64133. Visitation will begin at 4:00 and her memorial service will begin at 5:00.
