Gene F. Martin of Raytown passed away on Sept., 4, 2018. Visitation is from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, Sept., 6th. Funeral Service will be held Friday, Sept., 7th at 1:30 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., KCMO 64133.
Gene went to his heavenly home after 92 years. He was the youngest of nine children and the son of Zedd and Clara Mae Martin. He served in the Navy CB’s (Construction Battalion) during World War II at Clark base, Philippines. Gene was a builder (Gene F. Martin Construction Co. Inc.) for 44 years. He was a member of the Homes Builders Assoc. for many years.
He was a member of Connection Point, Raytown Church. He enjoyed travel, playing games, especially cards and had a great sense of humor. He loved life, his family and friends and especially his Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Charlene; two children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
