He lived the majority of his life in Raytown, Missouri. He was a 1973 graduate of Raytown South High School, and followed his education at Central Missouri State University (now called University of Central Missouri).
Gary was a long time employee of Deco Tool and MSC Company where he enjoyed his position and his coworkers.
Gary loved playing sports as a youth. He excelled in baseball, football, track, swimming and bowling. He was active in the Kansas City Turners Fitness and Social club.
The Kansas City Chiefs games were never missed. He bought season tickets to attend in person or at home on television with family and friends. He enjoyed playing games with friends and family, Fantasy Football being one of them. He loved listening to music – his most favorite is The Moody Blues.
He traveled many places to see the band in concert, and owned all of their recordings.
He was preceded in death by parents John (Herb) and Katie Mynatt and brother John Mynatt. He is survived by his two sisters, Pamela Boone (Ted) and Susan Stanfill and her son James; a niece Kim Kliethermes and her daughters, Natalie and Danielle; nephew Matt Mynatt (Mary), their son Wes, and Kim and Matt's mother Peggy Mynatt.
Gary was a sweet, quirky, extremely bright, and friendly man. But, super private.
He will be thought of often and very missed, especially when The Moody Blues are heard.
