Uncle Francis was a treasure trove of the Ames family history and genealogy. His superb memory and vivid recollection of our ancestors' lives, places, and events have tremendously enhanced our family stories. Fond memories of him and his legendary life will forever live in my heart.

Uncle Francis .... Admired for his deep faith, devotion to country, love for family, culinary skills and an unbelievable memory for details.  What a joy he was to be around--always eager to discuss any subject ranging from family memories to current events and politics.   He will always be in my heart.    Today I celebrate his memory and rejoice that one day we will all be together in Paradise.

We will forever celebrate your life.  You were a role model with your wit, your
engagement in life.
