Frances C. De La Torre, 93 of Liberty, MO, passed away Nov. 27, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4 at St. Anthony Church, 318 Benton Blvd. KCMO, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Frances was born on June 4, 1928 in Emporia, Kansas to Cipriano and Luisa (Rodriguez) Cisneros. She worked for the Broadview Hotel in Emporia. After moving to Kansas City, Frances worked for Lucey’s Luggage and Parmelee Safety Glasses until 1981 and part time at B & G Maintenance until moving to Liberty in 2005. Mrs. De La Torre was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s (aka Assumption) Church.
Frances married Jesse C. De La Torre on June 6, 1958. He preceded her in death. She is also preceded by sisters, Juanita Galvan, Topeka, KS, Elvira Lira and Mary Lira, all of Osage, KS; brothers, Felix Cisneros, Emporia, KS, John Cisneros, Topeka, KS, and Sontos Cisneros, Kansas City. She is survived by children, Michael De La Torre, Raytown, MO and Linda Mendoza (Kevin), Liberty, MO; brother, Phillip Cisneros, Emporia, KS; grandchildren, Chad De La Torre (Viviana), Selena Mendoza (Daniel), Amber Mendoza; great-grandchildren, Dominic Magee, Kaitlyn Gonzalez, Michael Iraheta, Johao, Jaela, Kevin Zambrano; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. Frances had a lot of love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren especially Dominic who saw her daily and would rattle her bed and play peak-a-boo with her.
