Evelina was born July 10, 1933. Evelina was a wonderful, beautiful woman, devoted wife, loving and caring mother, and Christian to all in need. Her hobbies included sewing, puzzle solving, reading, garage sale-ing, and spreading kindness to every lost soul that came her way.
Evelina was a mother that had a lot on her plate. She taught her children to care about, and not to harm, others. She did the best with what little she had. It was not easy for her, may God be blessed with her as we have been.
Evelina had seven children, David Wayne Van Fossen (deceased), Velina Eaton of Hamilton, MO, Alvin Van Fossen, Tim Van Fossen, Ronald Van Fossen and Carol Goff of Independence, MO, and Leo Van Fossen of Topeka, KS. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family of Evelina Van Fossen would like to share her life and love with everyone that knew her in a Celebration of Life event from 1pm to 6pm on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the VFW Post 1000, located at 1002 E. US Hwy 24, Independence, MO 64050, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
