Esther Gale Munn

Esther Gale Munn of Leawood, Kansas, walked into Heaven on July 30, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 3rd, 11:00 a.m., at First Church of the Nazarene, 11811 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO, 64111, with burial following in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Compassionate Ministries Church of the Nazarene.

Esther was born November 7, 1926, in Zanesville, Ohio. She was a loving wife of 58 years. Esther was taught to have a servants heart at a young age and showed compassion to all. She loved to cook, read and hand quilt. Sam and Esther loved Colorado and had a special place in the mountains in Estes Park. She enjoyed hiking and viewing wildlife. After Sam’s passing, Esther loved to travel with her brother Lou.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Munn; grandsons, Jason Munn and Christopher Munn; sister, Grace Hartsough and infant brother, Robert Gale. She is survived by her four children; Samuel Bruce Munn and wife Janis; Rebecca Wadsworth and husband Denny, Mark Munn and wife Jeanette, and Philip Munn; sister, Ruth Russell; brothers, Lou and Floyd Gale; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Esther was an amazing Christian and loved to volunteer at her church. She loved to serve others and will be dearly missed.
