Elsie Carrillo

Elsie Carrillo, 88 of Kansas City, MO went to be with her lord and savior Friday, October 28, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Friday, November 4 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2910 Strong, Kansas City, KS. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas, City, KS. Visitation will be 10-11 am Friday at the church. Arrangements under the direction of McGilley Midtown Chapel, 816-753-6200.

Elsie was born April 6, 1928 in Kansas City, MO to Jesus Salas and Carmen Vazquez Salas, one of ten children. Elsie was a member of the 1951 Flood Reunion Committee. She lived for her family, loved to have all her children and grandchildren over for family gatherings. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Jesus Carrillo, Jr., a brother, Jesus Salas, Jr, a sister, Esther Diaz and 3 grandsons. Elsie’s survivors include eight children, Mary Hernandez (Mel), Daniel Carrillo (Theresa), Irene Delgado (Ubaldo), Charles Carrillo, Teresa Juarez, Robert Carrillo, Virginia Gonzalez (Jesse) and Monica Muzquiz (Ronnie); three brothers, Isidro Salas, Frank Salas, and Anthony Salas; four sisters, Nina Hinojos, Margaret Salas Long, Carmen Oropeza and Conception Salas; 27 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren
