Elmer William Curtis passed peacefully the morning of April 26, 2017 to join the love of his life, his wife, Mickey. He was born December 7, 2017 in Kansas City and lived in Missouri throughout his life. He met and then married Mickey (Mildred H.) Nisser on September 16, 1949 and they began their journey to span 67 years. He retired from Armco Steel after 34 years of service in 1981 as General Foreman of the Pipe Shop. He was a 50+ year member of the Ararat Shrine. He was proceeded in death by his wife Mickey (March 14th), his oldest son William “Bill” Curtis, his parents Ola L. and Hazel M. Curtis, his brother Frank Curtis, three sisters, Irene Thompson, Ruth Craven and Myrna Keeton. He is survived by his youngest son, Mark Curtis and his daughter, Kathryn Hunter and husband, Stephen. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. We can find comfort in the fact that his heartache has ended and is reunited with his lifelong love, as well as, the others who were there waiting for him. He will be fiercely missed and will always remain in our hearts and memories. Donations to American Heart Association, in his name, in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.,
