She was such a special woman. She always knew when to be a mother and when to be a friend. She always welcomed friends into our home at any time and always had plenty of food to feed however many showed up. She was called mom by many.
She was a gifted artist and horsewoman who loved to read, garden, cook, and fish. Early in her working life she worked briefly as an artist for Hallmark Cards. She went on to work for the Army Corps of Engineers where she remained until her retirement.
While this is a great loss to those who loved her, we are grateful that she is no longer in pain.
