Elizabeth Phillips

Elizabeth Ann Phillips, 65, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2022 surrounded by family.

Ann was born in 1956 in Kansas City. She devoted her career to her family business, Mobilfone, which was started by her father in 1962. Ann served as President and CEO of Mobilfone for over 40 years.

Ann enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. An avid traveler, Ann would often take her niece and nephews on fun and memorable trips. She enjoyed biking and hiking near her vacation home in Arizona, as well as while visiting with friends in Minnesota. Ann and her husband Paul also enjoyed boating at Lake Lotawana. Favorite times included looking out at Goat Hill from their house, and spending time with the neighbors and their children.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ellen (Lynn) Phillips and Ronald Phillips, her brother Philip M. Phillips, step-mother Barbara Phillips, and niece Dana Rene Mersman.

Ann is survived by her husband, Paul Guignon of the home; sisters, Terry Mersman and husband Randy Mersman, Patty Phillips, Marilyn Denney and husband Chris Denney, Kay Acuff; brothers, Tim Phillips and Chris Phillips; sisters-in-law Stacey Philips, Patty Robben and Toni Moran (Paul’s sisters); and nieces and nephews, Ashley Mersman, Jack Acuff, Alexander Acuff, Annalise Acuff and Ryan Roberts.
