Eduardo was raised on Kansas City's Westside and was a 1996 graduate of St. Pius X High School. He later received his Associate’s degree from Penn Valley Community College. He then served as a crossing guard for Primitivo Garcia Elementary School, where he thoroughly enjoyed helping students and their families.
Eduardo enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his brother, Steven Ruiz, and other family members, including aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Genaro Sr. and Teresa Ruiz; and his brother, Genaro Ruiz.
Public visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, 309 Benton Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64124. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am. Burial immediately following Mass will take place at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Raytown, MO.
