Dorothy Jean Linder Blosser was born February 28, 1934 in Payne, Ohio to Henry and Florence Sheehan Linder. She was one of 8 children. She passed away peacefully at her home on July 23, 2023.
She graduated at the top of her class from Hicksville High School, Hicksville, Ohio, in 1952. She met and married the love of her life, John T. Blosser. They were married 61 blessed years prior to John’s passing in 2016. They had 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was an incredibly smart, well spoken, and driven individual. She became an office manager for a thriving Ophthalmology practice and served in that capacity until her retirement. She was very active in her church, St. Bernadette’s, Kansas City. She was a member of the St. Gerard’s Guild and served as treasurer for 30 years.
She developed many close friendships throughout the years. She was known for her kindness, compassion, service to others and her sense of humor.
Dorothy is survived by two sisters, Henrietta (Hankee) Slattery and Rose Tremains; as well as 2 sister-in-laws, Joan Linder & Nathalie Linder; and a brother-in-law, Gordon Johnson and many, many nieces & nephews. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. John K. Blosser, his daughter Erin Gehrig (Simon) & their daughter, Claire, and his daughter Kalina Servero (Mike) and her daughters, Amanda & Allison. Kristina M. (Blosser) Handley (Dave Buckler) and her sons, Jeremy Dustin, Eric and daughter, Amy Noble (Patrick) and their 2 children, Sawyer & Colette. Timothy D. Blosser (Kelly) and their 2 children Chad (Lesli) and Chelsea. Brian G. Blosser (Kathy) and his children, Matt (Seyda), Kevin and Emily. Thomas J. Blosser who was their youngest son and took loving care of both his parents until their passing.
She loved and remained very close to David Handley (Kristina) & Elizabeth Hill (Brian).
