Doris Stevens of Kansas City, Missouri will be remembered for her contagious smile, kindness, and caring. In 1944 she married WF Stevens (Steve) and that loving union lasted for almost 71 years. They both enjoyed their cabin (Happy Shack) at Lake of the Ozarks. They loved to have friends and family visit as their door was always open.
Doris retired from Avon after 25 years of service in 1985. During her retirement she lived in Kansas City for several years, later moving to a farm in Cross Timbers Missouri with her husband. Doris enjoyed attending the Christian Church in Cross Timbers and in her later years lived in Overland Park, Kansas. All the kids will remember her awesome garden and flowers and how much fun they had visiting in the summer.
She will be missed by her daughters; Marilyn, Maria, Marlene, and Melanie. Her grandchildren; Heather, Adam, Meghan, Cody and Nicole. She also leaves behind 4 great grandchildren; Avery, Jack, Hayden and Fynn, and two sisters, Helen Chinn and Thelma McCuiston. They will all miss those warm hugs and the love she gave.
Doris was one of seven children and was born in Drexel, Missouri to Joyce and William Holliday. She is preceded in death by her parents; Joyce and William Holliday; husband (WF Stevens), 1 brother, Thurman, 3 sisters; Lois, Marion Louise, Zelma and granddaughter, Dawn Matthews.

Memorial service will be held at the Christian Church in Cross Timbers, MO, Saturday, April 24, at 11:00am.
