She is survived by a daughter Marsha Maples of Independence, Missouri and three sons, Randy Box of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Ralph Parker of Kansas City, Missouri, and Daniel Parker of Raymore, Missouri. She also leaves thirteen grandchildren (2 have preceded her in death), fourteen great-grandchildren, and her sister Mrs. Linda Muehlberger.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Rhonda Box, and one sister Mary Higgins.
Doris leaves her many friends from TOPS #255, 4 Seasons of Raytown Christian Church,
her Sunday school class at Connection Point Church of Raytown, B.P.W. Business and Professional Women of Kansas City, her Red Hats Group and Birthday group.
She Retired from Kansas City City Hall in 1992 from the accounting department. She enjoyed a long retirement and loved to travel with her groups of friends. She was an avid League Bowler in her younger years and carried a high average. She was an Alum of Southwest High School in Kansas City and worked at Sears Roebuck, Phillips, and First National Bank, and longest at Kansas City City Hall where she retired from.
