Donald L. Long, 82, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2023 at Ignite St. Mary's in Blue Springs. Donald was born August 19, 1941 to Edward and Flossie Long of Kansas City, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings and his wife of 43 years Claudia (Brownfield) Long.
Don was a life-long area resident and worked for many years for Musselman & Hall Contractors. He loved golf and his dog, Skeeter. He is survived by his step-son Robert Roxburg, (Independence) and grandchildren Ryan Roxburg (Blue Springs) and Rachel Roxburg (Kansas City), and nephew Mike Allen.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday, Dec. 15, from 12:30 p.m – 2 p.m. , Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, Kansas City, MO. Graveside service and interment of ashes to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
