Dolores M. Sidle Richey

Dolores M. Richey, 80, of Kansas City, MO, passed away February 12, 2011. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to NorthCare Hospice & Palliative Care, 2900 Clay Edwards Drive, North Kansas City, MO 64116. Mrs. Richey was born July 18, 1930 in Kansas City, MO. She was a 1947 graduate of Central High School. She was an employee of Sears as an order filler and supervisor (1947-1955). Dolores married the love of her life Robert N. Richey on March 30, 1951 and later became a homemaker. She loved gardening and reading mysteries and legal thrillers. She was preceded in death by her husband. Mrs. Richey is survived by her daughter Dawn MacLaren (Laurence) of Portland, OR; son Chris Richey (Mary), grandchildren Lauren, Samantha and Hank of Smithville, MO; and sisters Wilma Sidle of Kansas City, MO and Glenda Sigrist of St. Joseph, MO.
