Dennis M Houk

Dennis Merle Houk, 72, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on December 7, 2015 at his home. Dennis was born December 23, 1942, to Merle Chester Houk and Theda Mae (Parks) Houk and grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Dennis was an Army veteran, serving during the Viet Nam War in Germany. Dennis and his wife Jackie moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1989 where they lived in the Valentine area. Dennis spent his professional years in construction with Line Construction. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 48 years, Jackie in 2012. Dennis is survived by son, Daniel Houk (Carl Thoman); daughter, Marcy Fortney (Donnie) of Pulaski, PA; granddaughter, Ariane Michael (Sean) and great granddaughter Lydia Rose of Georgetown, PA; brother, Gary Houk (Donna), New Castle, PA; sister-in law, Lin Vaughn; nieces, Jodi Rollins (James), Jamie Vaughn, and Jenny Gray (Aaron) and great niece Scarlett; many friends and his sweet dachshunds, Max and Bailey.
