Delma V. Greene

Delma “Dale” V. Greene, 91, Overland Park, KS, passed away April 19, 2013. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 23 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 24 at the funeral home.

Dale was born July 19, 1921 in Corrigan, TX. She was a member of Colonial Presbyterian Church, the Leawood Women’s Club and the Gourmet Cooking Club. Dale loved playing bridge, home decorating, dancing, music, gardening and taking care of her husband and daughter. She loved to travel to Europe and Hawaii and inherited a “sassy” sense of humor from her father (Pappy).

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Zimmer Harrell, and sister, Wilma “Bubbie” Hodge. She is survived by her "dear, sweet” husband of 66 years, Edward T. Greene, daughter, Judy Ann Greene, sisters, Mrs. Billie Bergman, Mrs. Melba Rhodes, and her beloved extended family and friends.
