Debra Ellen Smedley, 57, passed away November 7, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, at the funeral home followed by burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Debra was born April 4, 1958 in Jacksonville, FL, daughter of Arthur Howard and Mary Ellen (Stoker) Bishop. She was a member of the Two Beer Tuesday with the Ruskin High School Alumni.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband Christopher B. Smedley. Debra is survived by her father, Arthur Bishop of Chapel Hill, TN; son Jason Starforth and wife Jody, Raymore, MO; daughter Elizabeth Stieger and husband Mark, Overland Park, KS; brother Harvey Bishop, Myrtle Beach, SC; sister Tamara Moralez, Grandview, MO; grandchildren Travis, Tanner, Zachary, Nathaniel, Aidan and Christopher; great-granddaughter Jordan; and nieces Britney, Marissa, and Savannah.
