Dean Johnson

Johnson was born October 6, 1935 in Kansas City, KS to Rudy and Edith Johnson.

He was a graduate of the University of Missouri, Kansas City and served in the United States Army National Guard for six years. In 1969, he started his own Ford dealership, Dean Johnson Ford, Plattsburg, MO, which he owned and operated for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Plattsburg Rotary Club for over 50 years.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Edith; a son, Patrick Johnson, and a brother Rudy Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Margie of the home; children Timothy (Christi) and Pamela Johnson and daughter in law Carey Johnson. Johnson also leaves his cherished grandchildren, Joshua (Holly) Romey, Clint (Lindsay) Harbord, Maggie Johnson, Cooper Johnson and Madilyn Johnson, treasured great-grandchildren: Kael, Kameron, Kennedi, Kasius and Kruz Romey; Cambree and Cylar Harbord with many other relatives, friends and neighbors. An exceptionally close friend and employee, Chris Brady.

A graveside service will be held at Mount Moriah Cemetery South on July 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Scott Killgore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Plattsburg Rotary Club in honor of Dean Johnson; or charity of your choice.
