Dean Clasbey Jr., age 81, passed away September 17, 2017. Graveside services will be 10am, Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Floral Hills East Cemetery, 25203 E Hwy 50, Lees Summit, MO 64086. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30pm, Friday, at Floral Hills Chapel on Blue Ridge. Dean graduated from Lees Summit High School in 1954, and Missouri School of Mines, in Rolla, MO, in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1963, and joined the Missouri National Guard following his discharge. After leaving the military, he was a service man for Bendix Corporation, and later retired from Eastman Kodak Co. in 1991. He was a past president of the Greater Kansas City Model Railroad Club and member of the K.C. Northern Miniature Railroad Club. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Betty; son, Steve Clasbey, and his wife, Sue; daughter, Tarina Daily; sister, Zela Lovvorn; grandsons: Jeremy and Patrick; granddaughters: Rebecca, Lauren and Marissa; great grandson, Leland; several nephews, nieces and numerous friends. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Doris Clasbey; sister, Zora Clasbey; and son-in-law, Robert Daily. Memorial tributes may be directed to the American Heart Association, 208 S.
