Devoted husband, beloved father and cherished grandfather, David Carrillo Jr., 67, of Kansas City, MO., passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2016. David Carrillo Jr. was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO, and a retired meat processor of 40 years. He was born to parents David Carrillo Sr. and Paula Carrillo (both deceased) on December 31, 1948.
He is survived by his loving wife of close to 40 years, Patricia Carrillo, and his five children Ricardo Simmons of Harrisonville, MO., Laura Swearengin of Kansas City, MO., Lisa Castro of Overland Park, KS., Marc Carrillo of Kansas City, MO, David Carrillo III of Tampa, FL. and 10 grandchildren, Trisha, Sara, Seth, Sydney, Arianna, Michael, Alanis, Nicholas, Kara, and Easton. He is also survived by his siblings, Anthony Carrillo, Joseph Carrillo, Susan Steiner, Anita Gee, Steven Carrillo and John Carrillo. He is also survived by his four legged best friend Bailey.
David was an avid gardener who also loved fishing, playing the lottery, tinkering on anything broken, traveling, an ideal neighbor and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He loved to travel to Hawaii, Colorado and most recently Florida. Some of his favorite vacations were taking trips with his grandchildren to the Nebraska zoo, Silver Dollar City and the Colorado mountains.
